Our mission

SSR: Advanced Acrylics 160P - House of Tangs & more....

Some of the devices might have old info saved, so you might need to factory reset them
The previous owners said they unregistered the devices from their account so hopefully I won’t have to email Coralvue. I also find it odd having to use a magnet to reset the devices lol.

Dude, I see a Swap Meet/Flea Market in your future! Just make sure they know these are legit and stolen power tools being sold for cash. Hahaha.
Selling used reef equipment is how I’m funding my solar panels :D

This past weekend I started working on getting this Hydros Controller set up. So far I'm liking how easy it is to program. Ran into some speed bumps when I got the error message "Collective Broken" but I figured it out. Still lots more programming and wire management needed.

Also picked up a this sweet Royal Exclusiv Bubble King DC 200 Skimmer from @nly04. I thought the Nyos Quantum skimmer was good, but then got a Reef Octo Elite since it has a DC pump which was better, but now after running this Royal Exclusiv BK skimmer the pump is absolutely silent and the cone construction is top notice!

Finally set up my ReefMat 1200 as well. A must have for a heavy bio-load tank.

What would you say makes it so much better than the Elite? Will copy your controller setup once you are done haha.
Initial impressions are from a build quality pov only since I've only had it running for a couple days. The over all cone and bubble diffuser plate construction is about the same. I like the stainless steel screws used to hold the cone to the bottom plate vs the plastic screws. I like how the skimmer cup screws on the BK skimmer instead of a little twist and lock on the Elite cup. The BK cup is designed with the middle cylinder being able to be removed for easy cleaning. A problem I have with my Elite skimmer cup is the center cylinder detached and the cup sank down lower until the lid stopped it preventing the skimmate to overflow into the cup. See the circled part in the picture. Will need to use some acrylic glue to fix. I've notice this starting to happen on another Elite skimmer I have as well. I think this might be due to the weight of the skimmate? The biggest difference is the Red Dragon pump, the VarioS 6 is a great pump, but the Red Dragon runs completely silent and overall build construction feels better quality. I've heard they last forever. I also have the older controller thats made of metal which I prefer over the plastic controllers.

Screws are actually even better than stainless, they're titanium like the Abyzz pumps use.

The controller is pretty huge though. But having a dead silent skimmer is pretty nice. Have to put my ear up to it just to hear bubbles popping.

Just got back from a 16 day vacation. Happy to say my 4 tanks didn’t crash with absolutely no one watching after them. Still need to do a fish count but everyone seems to be alive and swimming well. Corals look good too.

Need to catch up on sleep, but will update later on the last minute decision to add this awesome auto fish feeder I used.

Might copy your blueprint - will be gone for 17 days. No one feeding seaweed? Just these seaweed pellets maybe? Curious what you do. Welcome back :).

I’m on day 4 of 8 on vacation. Wishing I have the same luck!
