Top view vs side view

Taken with the same orange filter . Picture doesn’t show as bright , but top view show a very bright yellow vs greenish in the side view.

Too bad. I like the top view a lot more. Haha

This is the mariculture sps colony from Clearwater.

Top is where they get the most light! I notice my mariculture acropora are very demanding of light. Under bright light they turn pink and red, I moved them thinking they were fine and they turned puke green and now grow slower.
 
Second one looks nice. Sure some physicists can explain how the light is refracted and reflected so top view looks best. Too bad there aren’t waterproof actinic bars so the sides of corals can be lit up. If anyone makes one off my idea, I want royalties.

I’ll make a frag on the second one for our trade .

The bright yellow coral on the left of the second pic is the goldenrod I got from you. Color improved a lot especially in the last few months when I started dosing bailing part C aka mineral salt. No solid proof but that’s one major change I did.
