Torches with Byropsis

So I recently picked up a few torch colonies for a really good deal. The reason for the really good deal apart from seller needing space from wanting to leave the hobby is that his tank has byropsis. Dude had some really healthy pieces and he was trying to deal with it naturally but I would like to take a different approach considering they’re in my QT tank so I don’t spread byropsis into my main tank.

I’m thinking reeflux? I have some on hand currently. How would you guys approach this?

*Preferably something that can be done inside tank. Pieces are heavy and had tentacles rip when moving so would prefer to move out of water the least amount as possible*

Reef flux @ part dose, go up if needed. These kinds of chemical treatments definitely have effects on other inhabitants, even if it's less visible - Reef Beef had a nice video with a guest on who explains it in more detail:

Those torches look great btw

Fluconazole (ReefFlux) for sure. Some people have results with lower doses but everyone has results with the recommended dose (20 mg/gal), so just use that since it’s a small QT tank anyway. You may want to do 2 full treatments back to back. Also since you have it isolated, get off what you can manually with a toothbrush (outside of the tank) before and during treatment.

I dosed 1 capsule into the tank. It’s an IM14 which according to IM is ~14 gallons so under dosed a little bit. Depending on how things look in a couple of weeks, I will do another dose

A number of people, myself included, have used 4x (or more) the dosage for bryopsis to attack bubble algae without ill effects.
Was it effective against the bubble algae? I thought I got it off all my frags before moving everything over to new frag tank but some unfortunately made it through

It did seem to kill a good amount of it, but didn't kill it off forever as it did come back. I may have benefitted from an extra cycle of treatment. Not sure why I didn't do it.

Others have seen it go away.

I did 2 capsules in my 10 gallon and bryopsis was gone in 3 weeks. Did a 1 capsule precautionary dose immediately after that and it’s never come back. I didn’t experience any ill effects.
