Unusual Clown behavior?

Hmm, well I think one of my 2 black clowns bit it after maybe 1.5 years or so :( They were fine for a long time and then suddenly a few weeks ago, one started to hide during the light cycle... I'd see it when the lights went out, but hiding half of the time... but at least I knew it was in there... Sadly, there are no signs of it at all in the last week. Anyone know what might have happened to it?

I might have to find a replacement too. Anyone seen any in shops?

Thanks,

- Herman

Neptune in Milpitas has some from ORA, I believe. Saw a bunch when I was there last week.

As for what might have happened, not sure - I had a juvi/male disappear on me a couple years ago. Female was fine, and has been fine, but that male just disappeared one day.

sorry to hear that Herm.

When my female clown caught ick a few years back as soon as she got the ick. She started to hide, she was alive for a week with ick. But she stayed away from the male, even though the male was trying to go to her. I think she didnt want him getting sick as well.

Eventually she died, I still have the smaller male and place a smaller perc. But its not the same. Im still looking for the same type of clown as the female I once had. I think its called Onyx clown.

Here's a video of them laying eggs.

Yes, Robert and Cerissa had some ORA black Ocellaris 1.5 weeks ago. They also had a pair of Picassos
