Has anyone seen them around in any LFS?

Never had one before... closest was a royal gamma.. any tips or cautions against them?

Great fish. Find an ORA captive bred. Liveaquaria carries them.

Thanks, but I'm trying to limit my hunts to the bay area right now.. The shipping is what really kills it for me..

I bet several stores can get ora ones as part of a shipment if you ask nice...
Maybe even organize a club group buy of ORA stuff through a (sponsor) Lfs (ideally)...

Which is something we should attempt to do on a regular basis anyway so we can support sustainable and responsible husbandry.
