Yellow Tang - Reddish Face

First...are you sure that’s the correct pronoun?
How long has this condition been visible?
Is it being harassed or chased around the tank?
As long as it eats, there is hope
We gave her a female name so hopefully, this was appropriate.

The red fins probably for several months, so I did not think of much. Only when I saw today her face getting a similar color. She eats almost exclusively seaweed, but is very active when we feed other things, but seems like she does not like it too much. Anything yellow tangs are known to like to eat, other than seaweed?

Mine eat all offered foods
Seaweed is the least often food item fed
Lots of NLS Thera A and formula 1 and formula 2 pellets
Couple times each day the mix of frozens

Post this over on humblefish with details and see what they say.
How long has this been going on?
Any other fish affected?
Any other symptoms?
Diet?
Still eating?
Weight loss?
Any scratching/darting?
Any new additions to the tank?
Has it progressed to other parts of the body?
Any open sores?
Any meds in the tank?

I’m sure you googled it already and came across this:

Thank you. Yes, the bacterial infection thing seems odd to me, and the various pictures on other references do not really match, but maybe it is. Taking out a yellow tank for treatment seems to be an impossible task, but maybe I should start getting used to do that.
My old YT has this at one point and it went away in its own IIRC.
In fact, it almost looks like it already went away today to a large extent, still visible a little bit.
