30+ year old purple tang

This is not mine. I just seen it on RC. This guy’s purple tang is 30+ years old. That’s just so cool.

Can tell yours eats more than just SF Bay brine and spirulina, much more vibrant than ours! This yellow tang is just like the 105 year old people that say the secret is smoking and whiskey every day lol.

The lifespans of the Tangs have been estimated at around 50+ years. Many of the fish we keep in our tanks can go 20-40 years, but they rarely do in hobbyists tanks, unfortunately.

The sad part is that most reefers don't know the lifespan of most of your critters.
