This is the answer. I am just a bit over my reef budget atm. Dating women in SJ is also an expensive hobby....

Find or introduce a woman to reef tanks. When my husband and I were dating I was a cheap date (not sure that sounds right) - visiting LFS, trip to Sacto area along the River Road to visit several, or even cleaning his tank together, haha.

Good advice for my BioCube that has two powerheads. Never considered switching to a stronger pump. Hmm.

I still think this is a good option to prevent this from happening again while maintaining flow.
