Added a pink streak wrasse to bring in the new year and hopefully help control some flat worm/vermetid snail population. Changed my mp10 s Locations a little and went from nutrient to reef crest 75% and anti sync for slave pump… also waiting on a small pump to arrive for back wall. Happy new year y’all

Ok, tomorrow I’m going in. Going to take everything out my tank and try to get every piece vermetid snail free… any tips or suggestions? Thinking about dipping all my zoas that have been struggling since the vermetid situation and putting them in a frag rack away from the main reef after I put everything back in.

Big day yesterday. Took everything out and used needle nose and bone cutters on at least 50 vermetid. Scooped out most of the sand and added a 20lb bag that I purchased at a new local shop about to open Mother’s Day. Added the live rock back in but reduced by a few pieces giving it more open ness and hopefully better flow with no dead spots… spring cleaning in hopes of thriving future. Got a new little zoa island I’m starting too. Got a frag rack to try and get some of the effected pieces to bounce back-optimism is in the air!

It looks as if there's some little string things coming out of a couple zoas and the sps, almost as if the vermetid is inside them or is this something different, Ill try and add a photo

A lot of corals not effected but all the zoas and the sps are...acans doing good, frogspawn, duncans, and candy cane are great... mushrooms no worries too. Im dying to grow zoas!!!

Algae comes in many different forms. Looks more like cyano to me. Same advice though. Just blow it off. It's definitely not vermitids
I’ve blown it off, it’s like a web I’m pretty sure they shoot and then reel back into feed… I just took 50 vermetid out over the weekend but I’m sure I didn’t get all of em.

Inserted UV filter took two days with no lights and started adding phytoplankton daily. Here’s day one with lights back on… feeling optimistic
