I don't have that much to spend, so by necessity this is a pretty ultra low budget build. This is going to be for the corals that won't fit in my main display. Because I'm using members-only privileges like attending frag swaps, using the BST forum, etc, I am including membership as a cost

PIF items will be passed on upon tank breakdown

Overall Budget Goal: $150
Ongoing Costs: $30
Date Tank Cycle Began: March 25
Tank Manufacturer & Model: Fluval 13.5, from @Srt4eric

Equipment List:
Light(s): Aqamai LRs (not set up yet)– worked extra at @ClearWaterAquarium Ed's local shop
Rock: PIF from @MichaelB
Heater: Not set up yet

Empty tank day 1

Pif If it's of intrest.

I have a bag of readsea high alk salt, I've used for stock tank and frag tank still over half full (I don’t use this for my main tank). I could easily put enough in a container or bag for you to do a full water change when your ready to legitimately get the tank running with corals etc.

I Also have various smaller heaters I think I mentioned to you before.

Maybe I could drop it off one day over the weekend if you want something.

Also if there is something you still hunting for with this smaller tank I may have it laying around feel free to ask me.

I think you should remove this from your budget. That was not something we considered as part of the budget cap. If you insist on keeping, then that's up to you.
 
That tank is a nice form factor. I just googled the overflow to see if it’s as weird as my son’s Fluval 5. The horizontal slats going to the sponge looks like you’d want to block some of the lower ones. My sons Fluval 5 had a hole in the display that completely bypassed all the media bought a 3d printed plug on eBay to block it.

Where did you get the clip orange lenses? If you don’t mind sharing, been looking.
 
Thank you for the response! Mind blown (cheap) lol your images are crazy good, not sure if you use those to correct color or it’s just a super expensive camera setup you have. I’ll report on tariffs

I have an iphone 13 base model. No fancy camera, I just spend too much time on pics

Please do update on the tariffs
 
Just thought I’d say I got the lenses. March 27- delivered April 1st. Listing was 15$ came out to 17$. There was listings (same product pics) starting at 13$ but hadn’t sold as many. So I didn’t trust those with little to no feedback.

Just got to say thank you!!! Hope to share some pictures using them when I get my tank in order again.
