Under whites I was able to capture my Starry Blenny

Any idea how to get some coral pictures, they just seem so blue even after messing with white balance and orange filter. I try to shoot on my Nikon Zf around 1000 ISO , F Stop Between 4-8 , 1/60 t-1/120 Sutter and 10K white balance

I like to drop mine in Adobe Light room for a quick touch up. As long as you don't go crazy you can get them looking pretty close to what they look like.

Tiffen 85B filter was recommended when I researching this and has worked well for me. What orange filter are you using? I've tested a couple cheapo ones and they don't turn out good. 10k white balance might be too high if you're using an orange filter too.

I’m using the tiffen 85B filter as well , I’m going to try to mess with my white balance a little more that could be the key.

Also some background lighting can help alot with exposure giving the camera sensors more light.. wax or parchment paper, white plastic bag rubber banded over a flashlight / headlamp can add some diffused light high lighting the subject without spotlighting.. Basically a diy diffuser sock which are pretty cheap anyway online. Sometimes a simple flashlight combined with cell phone can work great especially the ones with the led solid light bar..
Some flashlights with strong bulbs can get hot and melt plastics so warning.. Cell phones try close up videos on active fish then just pause where you want and take a screen shots.. Video mode will focus alot better with clearer pics..Kinda crazy now how powerful cell phone cameras are now especially if you tweek the settings
