Solving Bubble Algae and Aiptasia Issue in Nano Reef Tank?

Hi Everyone,
I know someone who is having a bubble algae and Aiptasia issue in their 6 gallon nano reef tank. Ideally, something like an animal or medication. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Lol, I don't think that would appeal to him;)
If not...
That system is and will forever be infected with aiptasia
Once in the system...always in the system.
That system is small
The wise move is to frag all corals, and do NOT put anything from the tainted system into the new clean system without sterilization.

But that’s just me...

Well, well. That might cause extra thought...... Hmm....
The person says "If I reset the system, it's the same as getting rid of it!"
Thank you for the info

I have dealt with aiptasia in several of my nanos over the years. I have never failed to completely get rid of it (not just manage it) if I acted early enough, when it was only one or two visible aiptasia and well before it became an infestation. Each time, peppermint shrimp have worked for me.

If you’re dealing with an infestation, resetting the tank is going to be the most painless path forward.

Emerald/pitho for bubble algae-

How bad is aiptasia? For me it was a 1-2-3 combo of nudibranches, filefish and a Molly miller (from biota). I have no aiptasia at all. Took a bit for the Molly miller to do its job.

In a 6g there's no fish that's appropriate to do the job though. The peps will be far better.

We picked up 2 Little Emerald Crabs from Aquatic Collection a little while ago. The person who has the tank, believes that the Peppermint Shrimp would eat his acans. Is that true?
