Popper's IM100ext part 2

My fish missed me so they suicidied.

A lyretail anthias is missing

Added a bubble magnus fleece roller ARF-M G2. Swapping fleece will be tricky.

Moved bio media from right to left chamber. Right chamber reserved for skimmer but its skimming too much micro bubbles

UV bulb been running since day 1

uv bulb one of them AliExpress ones? like mike said , its gonna jack you acrylic really bad. if you want to run a open bulb like that find a mason jar and knock the bottom out of it. then put the bulb in there, the mason jar is made of a secret material that will sheild the uv from crazing the acrylic

Got the UV bulb on Amazon. Could might as well be same as aliexpress. Placed it between two sponges.

Two torches got bjd. One is dead, place other with some medicine, into a cup and floating in sump.

Convert one return pump into two return pumps.

Had to remove rocks to catch the flame angel. Opportunity to reaquascape the center piece to make it stadium like.

I really wish the KFC dip would stop being pushed around as a good solution. While it may seem to work, a single dip is NOT likely going to kill or prevent the bacteria from replicating in the future. Also, the potential ramifications are not worth it IMO. If you're going to use antibiotics, pick one and treat for 5-7 days in a QT with daily doses.

I left them in the kfc bucket with heater and powerhead for 24-26 hrs.

Thanks for the link but what your solution or recommendation? Maybe I missed it.

FYI, this use of cipro was actually adapted from treating anemones from a user on reef central years ago (OrionN, a doctor). Also, it was further expanded on by a R2R user, Amoo.

Aquabiotics did some very rudimentary testing on it as well (not a scientific study by any means), but used a much lower dosage specially on torches. I believe they did this based on some study they read on human arcobacter infections (aquabiomics believed BJD is caused by this family of bacteria) and thought the lower dosage for reef tanks would be enough. My guess is they probably also wanted to minimize possible damage done to the rest of the tank bacteria biome since it was an in tank treatment.
