    Alternative Trident Calibration Solution

The first thing you do, is do manual tests. Write the numbers down. You will forget by the time you need to enter them in. Next, go into Apex fusion, find your Trident and go here This will bring up another menu. First click where I circled and put a number one. That will tell the machine it's...

    Alternative Trident Calibration Solution

No. I run all of my salifert tests. Write the number down. Then I go into the calibration settings on the Trident. I plug those numbers into it and then allow it to draw a sample of tank water and calibrate to those numbers.

    Alternative Trident Calibration Solution

I agree with above, tank water calibration against salifert (or your kit of choice). I do it every time I change a bottle of reagent.

    Cilyjr's 470 gallon display

Yeah, just having it do what the default is, I spent zero time trying to figure out the moon stuff out. Looks like it can get pretty advanced if one wanted.

    Cilyjr's 470 gallon display

Like many of us who have been around since halides, I generally prefer a whiter tank. I also don't really like to mess around with my LEDs. When I got the Reefis over the 320, I picked the spectrums that Daniel had made. I basically have pretty blue early in the morning but switches to the SPS2...

    Cilyjr's 470 gallon display

Well all my fish are in and looking good. It's been a little over a week and nobody seems sick! In the next week or so I'm going to grab a pretty big order from high tide Aquatics. I spoke with @under_water_ninja and I'm pretty excited to start using them for my fish going forward. I'm...

    Diy solar for my home

Because my house is small-ish, 80% of my home is now on the CLP. But these are the breakers that function when the grid is down. When I set up my new aquarium, I ran a line from the regular panel and the CLP. Lights are on the standard panel so if I loose power my aquarium lights will be off...

    Diy solar for my home

I had to get wire from the inverter on the side of the house about 25 ft to where my service entrance and panel is, fortunately my crawl space is big enough. We just got some SEC cable and went through the crawl space. Now this is where it gets more complicated then the Tesla powerwall. You...

    Diy solar for my home

After we got all the panels up, we hung the inverter and batteries. The batteries are extremely heavy each weighing somewhere around 350 lb. They are attached to the house with a French cleat while sitting on the ground on a pad. I used a mini split air conditioning pad that had a maximum...

    Diy solar for my home

I've been meaning to post this for a while and since I started talking about solar a little bit in another thread and since I am literally sitting here waiting for paint to dry, I guess I'll get into this a little bit. First off I should state that if you aren't an electrician, then maybe this...

    This Storm is Brutal

The hybrid inverter is the eg4 12kpv I have 2x all weather batteries and 22 jinko 425 w panels. I designed and built the system so I can get pretty nerdy about it if you want details.

    This Storm is Brutal

Can you switch your batteries to back up only? I use an EG4 system, in the summer I can go indefinitely without the grid but in the winter my batteries will only charge to about 50% in December. I toggle a switch in my app which tells the system to only discharge the batteries during an...

Using solar mounting rails for light hanging.

I'm sure it's possible. There are two slots typically in a solar mounting rail. One on the top and one on the back. If you could find a way to attach the t-bolt to whenever you are using from the back of the tank, I'm sure it would work.

Using solar mounting rails for light hanging.

I like sharing stuff like this, because there's almost always a more cost effective solution but finding them is the challenge.
