We have lights! Well one light so far. I was just gonna use RMS arms sitting on top of the side of the tank, but thought hanging would look better. Still need to plug in the two xr30 and get a couple of xr30 mounts from a buddy he has laying around the garage .
I got lazy and used the garage door track rail.

Let there be light! I got the other mounts and all the lights are up now. I've never been blamed for having too little lights.
Seeing around 450 on the top of the rocks in the middle and between 225-300 on the sandbed depending how close you are to the glass.
I ran out of wire sleeves for my wire crimper and got those in today, so without any actually planning ahead with @derek_SR, I added eyelets to the end of the cables instead of the janky nuts I had holding it up the same day he fixed his the exact same way.

Torch Tank
I've never "formally introduced" these tanks, but I have two IM30 tanks that share a sump that house all my torches. It's around 60-70 gallons of total water volume. And being that I was just using what was on hand (read: hoarding), I set this up to replenish the calcium carbonate in the tank.
Yes, complete overkill, but hey, save money and use what you got right? Well, now that I need a calcium reactor for the 150 Gallon, I needed to repair my leaking Geo nano calcium reactor.
It had a leak where the connector locks the impeller in place. But to be honest, I hate sicce syncha silent pumps because they're typically anything but silent and I think the connector is really not great for a hanging design that Geo had.
So I decided to hack up the recirculating manifold and refit it for a tiny brushless 24V DC pump. The pump was variable speed (5W-28.8W), but didn't come with a controller so I'm just using an adjustable power adapter.
So here's what it looks like now.
This thing is pretty quiet at low speeds, but can be loud if running at the full 28.8W. I'm only running it around 5.2W and it's damn quiet. We'll see about longevity, but it's an inexpensive pump and threaded, so easily replaced should it fail.
So now the old school Geo 618 calcium reactor is freed up for the 150 gallon. Almost time to put some acros in that beast.
Here's the pump and power supply I got.
I'm sure though, y'all are more interested in what the tank looks like.

150 Gallon Tank
Ugly stage has begun. Oh the brown goodness. Time to let it ride and get some CUC.
I think I'm the only person who does this, but I set up my fuge as soon as tank is being fed and there's any livestock in the tank. I use this led grow light panel in all of my systems for the fuge and it does quite well. Having a fuge from the start seems to make my ugly phase blow over quicker than without for me. Hoping this remains true!
Calcium reactor has been filled, hooked up and started dripping and will turn on the CO2 once corals are actually in the tank.
This is probably the longest I've ever waited to put coral in a system, but I don't have a co2 regulator yet and my spare CO2 tank is empty. So not ready to replenish alk/calc/mg yet. I have a Versa for the feed pump right now, but I find a really cheap Masterflex Mini 7525-40 that I'm going to use instead once the tubing comes in.
I also plugged in a spare apex I had laying around.
what's left to add...

- Bubble King Double Cone 180 with RD3
- media reactor with carbon & high capacity GFO

Any issues with the flexible tubing connecting the Uv to the bulk heads?

I didn't know that was the exact model the new Geo's used. I knew they had a small DC pump on them, but didn't look into exactly what pump they used.
No issue connected the flex tubing to the UV. Just have a 3/4" barb to MPT adapter going into the threaded bulkhead. Just make sure to use pipe dope or thread sealant tape to prevent leaking.

150 Gallon Tank
Looks like the light brown dusting (probably diatoms) is subsiding since showing up on 3-4 days ago during the weekend. Let's see what ugly is next. This is with the lights running a full reef schedule and a fuge running 12 hours a night. CUC being delivered today, so hopefully whatever is next will be kept to a minimum.

You got the flow cranked up all the way? Interested in hearing more about your flow. Looks like the sand isn't really blowing around, which is a huge problem in my tank.

I have two mp40s at 50% reef crest and two hygger 18W (1850gph) running at 75%. Probably around 800-1000gph between to two returns.
There is some sand movement, but it's very minimal. Probably so little it's not even worth mentioning. I used 80lbs of Carribsea Special Grade Sand and 20 lbs of Carribsea Ocean Direct Original grade sand.
