I will probably test 1-2 more days. However I'm happy overall with the latest testing trends so far.

Still dosing 5mil daily of afr.

The only thing I wanna watch is p04, and getting it slightly lower and holding it there over time.

A few updates on this tank. To start with out of all my tanks this tank gets my most attention 2nd would be the nem tank. My frag tank I'm crazy hands off with it very rarely do water changes only dose AFR/ forbidden elixer.

Equipment upgrade:

20250906_180141.jpg

Removed the filter socks and went with a redsea nano reef mat about 2 weeks ago. It seems good so far but in fairness it's to new for me to have a solid opinion on it currently.

Went back to also running Rowaphos. I put a small bag suspended inside the reef mat.

I do have brightwell phosphate E I was playing with a month or so back. I paused because I was hand dosing based on feedback back seems far more effective to use it with a dosing pump. I may go back to it later oncenI determine if I wanna invest in a hydros blenny or minow etc to get a extra dosing head. I only have a single head hydros doser used for afr now.

Dosing update:

Done a icp test a while back mentioned it in a previous update. It showed some heavy metals traced to busted mp10 wet side. It also showed some traces were lacking.

So @Coral Hub (Nathan) was kinda and looked over my icp test and recommended the forbidden elixir. I have been using this since July 18th. I haven't sent in a follow up icp test yet maybe I will this coming week. Yet I must say I see differences in the sps colors now.

It includes all the traces listed on the label and pairs well with being easy just a few drops a day. It doesn't contain every known trace but it has many of them. Following another Icp test I will take things from there if I may need to add something else not contained in this product. Overall I wanna keep things simple yet I want to get the crazy colors many of the sps people in the club have shown.

Acro Photo updates.

That looks a lot more like a garf bonsai than a tri-color something, to me.

Anyway this is the best I've seen your SPS looking probably ever, whatever you got going in this tank is working! Looking great.

I see a ton of very defined shadows - maybe an opportunity for more light spread as these grow out. Just something to think about - the battle for spread becomes a real fight eventually.

I have two kessils 360xs on tank currently.
Not sure if I should consider a 3rd for the future (I have 2 more currently available)? Or maybe some type of light bars.
*Seriously open to suggestions in this area.

The tri acropora is what it was labeled at last frag swap picked up from @mlan

I have a garf bonsai and I agree they do look really similar.

I'm definitely concerned of the few larger mini colonies I have in one of the pictures above of them at risk of growing into each other. I've been wrecking my brain trying to figure out how to move one or two of them before they encrust too much.
