Cool, so feed more than I am and that should get some iodine in there. Thanks!I’m sure you know this but nori contains a lot of iodine. Mine usually tests high on ICP mostly because of this, I think. Although maybe it’s also in my pellets or something (mostly TDO).
I am just about to start more acros. The tank just hit the year plus mark, so I am going to wait for fall for the weather to get more mild, and start doing some shipments of coral from the bay.Your ICP looks very similar to mine pre-CG dosing, so it might be worth trying indeed!
Do you see a lack of red/yellow color on your acros?
You can't have as many Neptune devices as Rich so I'm sure you're ok (49 was the limit according to the last podcast). Maybe some cables are corroded?View attachment 76385

Upsizing my ro container. 27 to 75 gallon capacity. I know, I should get plywood under there. But I'll just fill it a little bit and see when the sag happens. Worst case, garage floor is really wet. Lots of projects, not enough nanny time to get me free to do projects.
Tank has been somewhat neglected due to holidays. I had half of the wav pumps go out for a while for no good reason. I think it had to do with addressing in the apex and maybe it getting confused due to the large number of wav pumps.
I stuck my used mp60 on there and like it, but don't like the new $900 price tag. I am debating on moving on from the wav pumps due to how often one goes out. I like the reef octopus pumps I have, and 2 of them can be hooked to one controller, so I can get them on opposite walls of the 6' tank and the 4's really move some water. I just wish the duty cycle was longer, so instead of 4-8 seconds of them on one way before switcing, I'd like a few minutes, but I think I can just program them over wifi or something. Need to dive in a little there.
2 of my 10 lights aren't working due to some connectivity issue, I need to debug that but am posting here instead.
Most of the lps and sps have died, and there is a fair bit of cyano. Not really sure why because things should still be pretty happy with 5 active pumps in the tank, but who knows. So I ordered more cheap frags online, another frag rack from PNW for 3/4" glass and am going to see what a bunch of corals on frag racks do for me.
I did get 2 of the great white sized Algae Free scrapers and they actually work well on the 3/4" glass. So I will probably get one more for the short side. Only negative with them is they sink, but they are really strong so I forgive them.
The gorgonian colonies are really happy, and the one gold hammer colony in the middle of the tank is still good, but the rest of the tank has pretty much lost coral all over.
The fish are all happy and healthy at least.
Just went to the Coralvue outlet and there is an additional 30% off, so the normally $400ish Reef octopus was closer to $200 open box. So that is in the mail now.
My theory is something inside the wav leaks or a wire partially breaks, because I have had a couple fail on me intermittently. Then the connections aren't rock solid and I have a toddler who sometimes wiggles things. The guy on the phone at Neptune said he hadn't ever seen as many wav's (7) on one tank before. I would have liked to run all 9-10 wavemakers as wavs, but they just don't seem to be robust communication wise. The connections (mini-fit/molex) all look fine. But good thoughts, thank you.You can't have as many Neptune devices as Rich so I'm sure you're ok (49 was the limit according to the last podcast). Maybe some cables are corroded?
Wasn't familiar with details of Mighty Magnets. Checked out website and they look amazing, unlike any cleaners I have used. Their warnings are many and serious, my favorite beingI’m all about the mighty magnets cleaners with algae cutter mesh sock

"Do not use when tired or under the influence of drugs or alcohol." No joke, these mags!
That's how I feel about the Great White size, and these Mighty Magnets look like they can be even stronger.Operate with great care!
Mighty magnets are NO JOKE

Fun story, back in college I was working on an engineering project to make wave powered generators for buoys using coils and magnets. We were using 90 lb force magnets that flew at each other from 12+" away from each other on a lab bench and exploded on impact.Finger smashed….emergency room visit
Oh and mind your phone and tablets…magnets can erase them!
