It's really finicky about where the water line is and I've had to inject water in the airline a few times to get rid of the salt buildup, but you probably already know all that. How much better it is than other skimmers or no skimmer, IDK.

Not a hijack if you are talking about the stuff in the thread, lol. I wanted to get away from the complex German assembly, but boy do they work.
 
Just to close the loop here. The DC version seems to make finer bubbles and is tunable within the right height. I like it, but haven't taken it apart yet. I'll like it less then if that day comes.

Take a pic on how things fits before you take it apart. I had Roger @ tunes sent me a detailed diagram when I got stuck a year ago. I don’t know if i still have the pic
