Thanks for the warning.
So far his strong tail waving for food causes more trouble (torn elegance & torch flesh - caused infection)
Will keep him well fed and being busy with his toy.
It’s going to get bigger
More damage will occur
The fish will begin to stress due to tank size
Do yourself, you other inhabitants, and the fish a favor
Find it a new home
Preferably over 300 gallons

Yes.
He is a great fish with personality but I am at that breaking point when the elegance and torch get infected and are in declining/dying state.
I have no idea how to catch him - he is too big for trap or net. Barbless hook?

Tank 13 months update:

+ Tearing down almost a whole tank to catch the 8" rabbitfish and the problematic 4" clown tang. The rabbitfish went to @Woeday and the clown tang is in the sump.
+ Adding 3 dispar + 3 lyretail anthias + junevile red coris clown wrasse
+ Major lost: green slimer, neon birdnest colonies, several torches, an elegance
+ Added a few torches, sps + zoa frags from swaps

Some crappy videos Jun-4-25

That Sailfin looks like a jerk lol.

How are the longnose and the copperband getting along? I figure they can't fight much if the tangs are going after them haha. Do you keep any clams in there?

Tank is really coming along now! What's your current fish stocking list? There's so much variety in there.

Yeah, the sailfin became the little jerk when the real jerk is in the sump. CBB and longnose are not companions but at least they ignore each other
No clam yet.

Fish list:
Tangs: blue, sailfin, chocolate (from junevile a year ago), and clown tang in sump
Anthias: male bimac, purple queen (developing to male), 3 x dispar, 3 x lyretail
Clown: 3 ocellaris (one is in overflow)
Wrasse: yellow, red clown coris, meleagris, christmas
Others: CBB, longnose, cherub angel, pajama cardinal, canary blenny, clown goby

Ah I thought that was a Queen/Tuka anthia cause of the nose shape! What are you feeding? If that's mysis I'm amazed it learned how to eat things that big. Really cool.
Purple queen started on live brine shrimp -> everything: frozen herring roe/brine/mysis + freeze dried mysis + flakes + tdo
CBB is stubborn on frozen brine/mysis only.

Do you know what caused you to lose torches and other coral?

I lost most torches due to bacteria infections last summer. One torch + elegance torn the flesh and got infection because of the rabbitfish. I guess that the big green slimer + neon birdnest colonies were STN because the nutrient spiked too high & too quick when I added the rabbitfish and the clown tang. I reacted too slow

They are reef safe until they are… not even they are well-fed:

Pencil urchin munched on sps (Oregon tort, pikachu)
Longnose, copperband nipped/picked the mouth of rock flower nem, elegances, duncan. My 10-12 inches 2+ years elegance get infected and died.
Blue tang ripped, pulled off long tentacle leather just for fun
