They lifted the ban about 2-3 years ago I think and implemented a lot more regulations. Before that, you could get tangs for $20
I wish I was in the hobby back then, would have picked 10 yellow tangs in blink of an eye.. such a pretty fish.. my favorite!

Money is relevant to how much you have. I’ve known about 20 billionaires and a few multi billionaires. Ten thousand dollars is like five dollars to them. But they have one thing in common. They are all extremely cheap in everyday life. When it comes to entertaining or something they like. The skies the limit. It’s crazy how they think. All of them are a little strange on their thinking too.
The only exception Ive seen of not living fairly cheap is back in the day I worked for several Saudi royals around North Beverly Park area. Their version of take out was flying in food from prominent restaurants from all over the country plus the chef at times on a regular basis. The harem cat fights from favoring one wife or another was something else,, talk about cat scratch fever or WWF more like it lol..But outside of that realm most other wealthy nickel and dimed routinely and complained ugg which was embarrassing to even be around that demeanor to say the least least..

No, you actually can see hundreds of yellow tangs when snorkeling in hawaii. It is legal to catch them if you follow the rules.
can you bring then to the mainland? You cannot bring it on the plane as a passenger unless you have a license, no?
