Well, here it is in all its glory! Haha! Added the plants today and started filling it. I’ll tell you this much, doing a large planted tank is damn near as expensive as a reef! Now I’ll let everything settle in and let the tank cycle and mature some before starting to add fish.

Love the scape! I've always found it near impossible to keep aquasoil out of decorative sand beds, hope it works out for you! Let us know if you find any trick...

I dont plan on it. The whole purpose of this big change was to make things as simple as possible. But who knows what the future holds!

A quick update on this tank. Everything is growing in nicely. Fish stocking consists of a school of 50 rummy nose and 50 cardinal tetras. 20 sterbi Cory’s, four angels and 6 baby german blue rams. The platinum angels have paired off and already spawned! I came home today after four days of work and found babies all over a Java fern leaf. Pretty cool!
