Yeah when I was setting up my tank I did extensive research on this topic and my conclusion was not to use one. It also just doesn’t make any logical sense to use one…and it’s cheaper and easier not to use one. Easy choice!

Yes. You can run the pump using a 10v but it’s kind of pointless since you still need to use the power supply and varios controller and can simply program the pump that way, no?

I just put my tank right on plywood. I don’t think foam mat is really all that necessary.

I have two varios pumps on a wave engine. You can set the speed in 1% increments, as well as put the pump on a schedule for variability by time or day.

That’s where they went! I couldn’t remember who I gave them too. I found some powder coated 24” ones on Amazon but they start rusting pretty quick.
