    Pocillopora colonies

In the old days I remember hearing flame angels were not Xenia safe. But they never eliminated it and given the lower nutrient tanks we kept back then, they probably weren't as well fed!

So you want to keep a tridacnid clam? A quick guide to success.

Note I'll be adding things to this, but first I highly recommend you buy this book first. It's only $39 and you'll learn way more than ending up with a couple white shells at the end. https://www.saltwateraquarium.com/giant-clams-in-the-sea-and-the-aquarium-book-by-james-w-fatherree First off...

A lot of stores keep their fish in hyposalinity for stress reasons. Highly recommend you keep your tank closer to1.026/35ppt for your corals and other invertebrates, plus it makes it easier to maintain key parameters.

    Bangai’s bred in my tank!

It's so interesting how they're "easy" in a sense compared to other fish that need crazy specific copepods or other invertebrate diets at different stages, but still require live feeding. I've heard of people finding small ones in their sumps that have survived off of junk going over the overflow.

Think I got some monti eating nudibranchs!

I have a wild one and I trained it on how to eat frozen food going from capelin roe to even huge chunks of mysis, but it still hasn't figured out pellets yet. Another reason to go captive bred when possible.

    jhuynh's IM 200gal

Yeah it's hard with the time of use. I do the 4-9pm higher bracket which is easy to manage from an appliance standpoint, but not great when you want your viewing photoperiod when you're home from work. That's probably when you're most active too now with the baby!
