    Ryan's 70G Tank Journal

Not sure if that was you or not, but I was just reading up on a thread a few days ago that was talking about how to sex a crab and somewhere along the lines of an all female crew not going after coral, which really is the main concern for anything new that enters the tank at this point in time...

I'll run with that advice and try using tweezers. Anyone on BAR in need of two emerald / Ruby Mithrax Crabs? (site has guarantee to remove bubble algae)

    Ryan's 70G Tank Journal

New plan is using a GFO and run it in a separate reactor. @Coral reefer the reason for the crabs is I have some bubble algae I want to get rid of on a particular coral.

    Ryan's 70G Tank Journal

Algae blooms appears to be at a slow down, the recent high Po4 rating probably accounted for that. It is now less visible on the glass and rocks. Update, the refractometer was calibrated properly which means salinity is definitely low. I added as much salt to a 5 gallon bucket that would dissolve as I could and hooked up my auto top off to it.

    Ryan's 70G Tank Journal

@Srt4eric you know I think the only thing that's where I want it to be right now is CA. Hoping that its all connected and just a salinity issue, I'll know more by tonight. Currently the coral and fish are all acting normal and MAYBE its just an issue of my refractometer needing to be...

KH .3.2 CA 420ppm MG 1040ppm Issue with Mg likely related to tank's lower salinity. General rule: .0001 a day. Will adjust accordingly.

    Ryan's 70G Tank Journal

Tank is now fully cycled, 10% weekly water changes began today approx 5-10 G's. In about a 5 day span the tank has been overrun by this brown Algae (I am assuming) the Desjardini Sailfin Tang loves the stuff but, aesthetically speaking I am not too stoked about it. Randal's goby makes an...
