    Foam mat under acrylic aquarium?

Thank you all. It seems like they’re experienced people on both sides. I will ask John was his recommendation is and just do based off of that. From the look of some of his builds, it doesn’t seem like he used any foam underneath

    Foam mat under acrylic aquarium?

From what I was told, it’s to level out any imperfections in the stand that could create pressure points and over time make the aquarium fail

    Foam mat under acrylic aquarium?

That’s why I’m a little confused. In my research, some people say foam is a must on a flat bottom and others say no. Maybe I’ll text John and see what he thinks. I’m sure he’d know since he builds them

    200g leaking

It’s cheaper and easier to just buy a new tank than to find someone willing to reseal it. Speaking from experience

    Foam mat under acrylic aquarium?

Do you remember if the IM foam was a little short before and then true to size after the tank was on it? I was looking at the IM foams that are already cut to size (36x24 and 48x24) on Amazon because I thought they’d be easier to use but some of the reviews said they were a couple of inches too...

    Foam mat under acrylic aquarium?

I’m having a hard time finding a foam mat big enough to place under both a 48x24 and a 36x24 acrylic aquarium. Any suggestions? I see some from Innovative Marine but it says they’re 5mm so that seems really thin? BRS also has some neoprene foam sheets but that’s only 1/8” thick… Is there...

    Pocillopora colonies

When I had both pulsing Xenia and GSP in my first reef those are the corals EVERYONE would point out first lol. Even before the hammers/zoas/torches. I think they’re great beginner corals and even nice corals to have later on if you isolate them. I do agree it’d be nice to get away from this...

Think I got some monti eating nudibranchs!

I don’t know about publicly unless you’re 1000% sure it couldn’t have came from anywhere else. But if you think you’re sure, I’d reach out to the person. I for one definitely would want to know if someone got something from one of my corals, because if that was the case I definitely wasn’t aware...

    65 gallon tank

I’ve had nitrate around that range before and still had puffy hammers so I don’t think that’s it. I do recall seeing your hammers in the 65 when I went over to help trouble shoot your vortech pumps so I see the issue you’re mentioning. But I don’t think the high nitrates are your issue

    65 gallon tank

I’m not sure how your plumbing is set up but I just used one of these and setup my rodi pretty easy under the sink. I didn’t set mine up for the longest time because our faucet is kinda weird so none of the adapters worked until someone told me about this fitting and it was really easy to install

    65 gallon tank

How far is your kitchen from your garage? My RODI is under kitchen sink and the container is in my room so I just bought 50ft tube of RO tubing and then cut off the excess. It’s connected to my brute with an auto shutoff valve. The brute will shut off once it’s full but the actual rodi won’t, I...
