    Thinking of upgrading

It's about 24" deep by 22" long or so, I can move the furniture a little bit. Height is less important but I would prefer to have an aquarium stand designed for that purpose. I want the aquarium to be somewhere I can enjoy it, aka my living room.

    Thinking of upgrading

I'm currently running a Coralife BioCube 16 as my first reef tank, and I'm thinking of upgrading to a Red Sea Max Nano G2 XL (33 gallons). Space is tight in my place but I think I can fit this in. I'm enjoying this hobby but it might be nice to have a bigger tank and a few more fish and corals...

    BlueSallymander's 16 gallon cube

Oh that's great to hear! The Flux RX I'm using is the same drug/active ingredient, just a different brand. But if it doesn't work, I'll give the Reefflux a try.

    BlueSallymander's 16 gallon cube

Sooo I've been terrible about updating this! I do now have a paired Randall's pistol shrimp and Yasha goby that are doing really well together. They are so fun to watch, and I can hear the shrimp snapping away sometimes. But I've been having some bad luck lately. I have a terrible...

Emergency - tank leaking from seam

That's terrible luck. I'm a beginner and don't know much about bigger tanks like yours, but I can maybe offer another set of hands after work if needed. I don't have clamps. I'm in Oakland.

    BlueSallymander's 16 gallon cube

My current project is getting the Randall's pistol shrimp to bond with the Yasha goby and build a burrow together. I think it will just require patience. Right now I'm pretty sure that the shrimp is still hiding in the rock where he was when I got him - I put the rock up front directly where I...

    BlueSallymander's 16 gallon cube

Hi all, I was going to start a tank journal earlier, when I noticed a leak in my tank! I had to move all of my creatures into a new tank, which I did last weekend (and ugh my back still hurts). I’m happy to say that all of the creatures survived the move, and I didn’t get any ammonia spike...

Free Stuff, dry rock, test kits, phyto culture kit

I'm interested in these test kits if no one else calls them: Salifert nitrate test kit Salifert magnesium test kit Salifert phosphate test kit I already have a phosphate test kit but my cat stole the little spoon and I can't find it anywhere lol.

    Free 14 gallon tank AIO

Not quitting! I spent today transferring my ocean critters into a new tank. (I'm going to start a tank journal but I haven't had time yet) I might have a taker for the tank, fyi.

    Bounce mushrooms after 6 years

Whoa, bouncy! Can I ask what you used to take these photos (like was it a phone or a fancy camera)? Nice corals and nice photos.

    Free 14 gallon tank AIO

You might have seen my previous post - I have an Oceanic BioCube 14 tank that's leaking from the top. I thought I would offer it up in case anyone is handy and wants to fix it up and run it. I did just have the lights replaced with LEDs and was running it as a mini-reef, so it seems like a...

    Professional aquatic tank, cleaners

I remember how much trouble I had finding someone who said he could professionally move my 40 gallon tank in the bay area, and how it didn't work out super great. There might be an unmet need there? But that would be unpleasant, probably, based on every time I have ever moved an aquarium :)

    Tank leaking

Thank you all for your advice, and your incredibly generous offers, @MichaelB and @ashburn2k ! I really appreciate it. Unfortunately, space is a big limiting factor for me, because it's in a small space next to a 40 gallon tank. With that in mind, I went ahead and picked up a 16 gallon...

    Hi everyone

Thanks for your welcome! I'm currently doing 3gal/every other week water changes, sounds like I should step it up.

    Tank leaking

Hi, so I was going to start a tank journal, but then I realized that my tank is leaking, so I'm sure you can imagine that I got distracted. Tank is an Oceanic BioCube 14 gallon AIO system that I got used and have had set up about 3 months. The leak is at the top of the tank where the plastic...

    Hi everyone

Hello! I'm a newbie to reefing, although I do have some freshwater aquarium experience. I'm in Oakland so I thought I would join the club. My saltwater tank is 14 gallons, and I originally started because I wanted to get a pistol shrimp/goby pair, but I'm starting to love the corals now...
