Need help to identify critters found in Chaeto

    Baby Rockflower or Majano Anemone?

I can’t tell from the looks of it if I should grow it or discard. Some info: I have a pair of Rockflowers. I observed few more of these tiny anemones popped up on sand in low flow area. Discovered a couple of them a month back, right now it’s around 8-9 in the tank mostly on sand. Photos:

    Cycling Coral First

Did this with my current build, although the dry rock I used were cooking for 2 months along with my 2 year old live rocks from previous tank. New tank cycled instantly and I added Softies on Day1. What corals do is basically bring additional biome and bacteria that are essential. Tank is...

Lights for red sea 425 - extremely confused

I have also been thinking of just getting one of the lights for now instead of stocking all of them. once I actually start adding corals and their lighting need increases I can add more lights of same or different company or even LED bars.

Lights for red sea 425 - extremely confused

I am a fan of budget reefing. My 20 G runs on nikrew light, grows soft corals and lps just fine. But I found it hard to research and achieve right settings since there is very small community. Thanks for the suggestion, I will look into these lights as well.

    Matthew's 65g Skyward Reef

Does look like dinoflagellates , you should notice it will become long stringy when exposed to light. I defeated really bad Dino infestation recently. Only thing that worked was a UV filter. Observe if the dinoflagellates dissolve in the water column at night. If so, UV filter is your best bet...

Best way to keep nitrate down on Nano tank

Do you have room for a HOB breeder box attached to the Tank? I put chaeto in a small fluval breeder box, with a low powered motor and some cheap grow lights. It keeps nitrates in check and supports pod population. Well, it took my nitrates to 0 so now I control the number of hours i overflow...
