Yea. Showed up in like 2 days. That looks like diatoms or dino to me...
Do you know if it's diatoms or dino?I think I'm going to run Dino X. I've tried it before. I have never had success with pods
Shouldn't matter. I could run a sample at work tomorrow, but DinoX works for both. I'd rather hit it early.Do you know if it's diatoms or dino?
Is this something i can rent somewhere? I have used Dino X in the past.Does look like dinoflagellates , you should notice it will become long stringy when exposed to light. I defeated really bad Dino infestation recently. Only thing that worked was a UV filter. Observe if the dinoflagellates dissolve in the water column at night. If so, UV filter is your best bet. Ran UV filter 24/7 for 2 weeks; almost all Dino’s disappeared. Now I run it 12 hours at night. I would advise against chemicals, but do your own research.
I've got a uv just laying around if you want to try one. I won't set up a tank without a uv on it.Is this something i can rent somewhere? I have used Dino X in the past.

Two things:
1. I have been dipping my corals in Brightwell Recover instead of a standard frag dip cleaner. I am an idiot. I can't even comprehend how I made this mistake for like 2 months. No wonder I have pests.
2. Added 1 peppermint shrimp. Cleaned out all the Aptasia in 2 days.
Clearwater aquariumWhere did you get the peppermint shrimp from? Neptune?
