    Patrick's 81G - the last dance

I tried...even bought the bin on sale at costco...then got the death stare from the misses when I told her what it was for...it ended up housing xmas decorations and me having to deal with a longer cycle. With my previous tanks, I would buy boxes of live rock...totoka, fiji, Vanuatu, pukani...

    Patrick's 81G - the last dance

I had a chance to get some work in during this heat and was able to get my dosing lines ran. I wanted to keep them out of the wire channels to separate them from all of the wires. The neat aquatics brackets make bends look way better than the zip tie trick to space the lines out. What I...

    I F’ed Up - killed my kids eel… advice/suggestions

Some of my fondest memories was mixing instant ocean for water changes with my dad in 1989..right when I was around your sons age... You're building core memories and being a great father...nothing to fault on that..yes, shit happens, and even my damsels (Alf and Heathcliff) died...

    Flooring options

I was definitely caught off guard when quoted the price...I initially thought it would be around 1K..boy was I wrong..but for peace of mind and working toward a long term build, worth it, co sidering my house was built in 1950..AFA recouping any cost should we decide to move, I'm chalking this...

    Bottle Bacteria Breakdowns

Staphylococcus is not surprising. I doubt there is much in terms of regulating the production of hobby grade products we use unfortunately. I don't see an additive company using a laminar flow hood to bottle each unit for sale anytime in the near future or anything remotely close to USP 797...

    Flooring options

I went with LVP, as is gives the look of wood but lacks the warmth. We had radiant floor heating installed in the areas we'd be congregating in so wasn't worried. Ive had a tank on all types of flooring: Carpet- by far the worst choice. Your pad will never bounce back, it gets moldy, least...

When you ran the OG stratons, did you use the ATI app to control the light schedule or have them on a controller? I'm thinking about getting it wired this weekend but debating if I need it plugged into one of the EB8 outlets vs standard one on the ADJ strip.

    Favorite step stool or stepladder?

If it's OSHA approved it'll do! We have the same at work..if it'll support my 6' frame with a horrible center of gravity, that's some magical stuff lol

    Favorite step stool or stepladder?

I like the Little Giant steps tools...built like a rock and folds up when not in use..most importantly, they're solid when extended properly and give you a steady base to work from.

    Patrick's 81G - the last dance

That was my fear with this light since I'm a big fan of shimmer..I always liked the halide look but T5 coverage..im hoping that since these don't have a diffuser like the originals it won't be as much of an issue. Worst case, I'll throw in a kessil or two to supplement. Spectrum wise, It seems...

One step closer to getting water in..Came home to this and couldn't wait to check it out. The shipment came in 2 boxes..one with the Fixture and the other with the driver, hanging kit, and power cord..all very well packed. As thin as it is, I was caught off guard with how heavy the fixture...

To bring you up to speed from 20+ years ago: -You won't find any VHOs or Power compact bulbs...if you were looking to reuse that gear, chuck it man..Except for a toms aqualifter...my old one still works..I'm convinced they can survive a nuclear attack now - that "new" vortech pump that came out...
