    Pressurized kalk reactor

Sorry about the coral losses. Always sucks when that happens- Ok my idea-not cheap but lazy aka “efficient” What you see is the avast kalk stirrer-my idea would be to reverse the flow- Pump in water into the 1/2 inch outlet by either using one dose head (with a big o barb) or an inexpensive...

    Dosing recommendation

What are you trying to accomplish and what do you mean that all for reef is unstable? I use it myself and find it quite reliable so curious to what problems are you seeing with it. I dose all for reef, trace elements (I need more due to carbon dosing, bacto balance (carbon dosing) I also...

    Salinity still a problem

Do you just let float in tank? Always afraid it’s going to smash into a rock and bust.

    Salinity still a problem

2nd this- as long as the water level is in the blue section -you are good. No need to calibrate but you need to keep it safe as it can break easily (glass) -$35. Found it to be way more accurate than other refractometers and salinity probes

How to glue acro colonies to rocks - looking for advice

If they were at Anaheim for the reefapooliza (sp) I’d seriously go just to get some hands on experience! One advantage though @Alexander1312 over epoxy-seatak does not make your skimmer go crazy for two days-at least..

How to glue acro colonies to rocks - looking for advice

It was for me -until the urchins-until it really encrusted -it was game for being picked up any time any place and strewn around like a rag doll.

How to glue acro colonies to rocks - looking for advice

Pretty colonies -they are pretty big -you may want to “angle” them as I can see some issues with the weight..but I concur with @RandyC about being horizontal

How to glue acro colonies to rocks - looking for advice

@Alexander1312 -what I use is a combo of seatek and superglue. Generally first get a big glob on the base of the macro. Then apply superglue as a smaller circle. The seatak will cure over time and the urchins will not take it for a ride. Two things - Once it’s dried -it is not coming off- I...

    Should we make shirts?

@JVU I think if we start looking at any hobby -we can start to see serious environmental/ecological harms for sure- You def bring up valid points. Curious though what the percentage of FedEx/UPS consists of live animals in general.. would def be eye opening for sure.

    Should we make shirts?

2nd bite- while there are transport costs indeed -in my view -how many people are running RODI units that are wasting at least 1:1 RODI to waste water if not more. Some people can use the grey water -but how many can’t. At least in CA-freshwater is an issue. SW not so much!

What are you using as your nitrate dosing?

I think I have seen 2.0 a day is ok. I do have a bag of sodium nitrate if you want. Live in Oakland but I can drop at high tide.
