Critters are all doing ok.
The fire across the street was well contained in the electrical box (underground). There was no damage to structures or people. The fire, while not big, was neat to look at. The colors from the flames were very unique.
Tank temp did not drop much at all. Hopefully the opposite wont become a problem with the hot temps predicted.
The generator is actually holding well. I'm getting about 7 hours of run time with the load:
4 koralias
1 small mini pump
2 air pumps
And about 70w blue LEDs for 4...
Electrical fire across the street on a PG&E box - no estimate when power will be back. Main tank, Anemone tank, and quarantine tank running on koralias, and air pumps. Small 800W generator doing it's duty. Wish me luck!

It depends. Are you somehow mechanically shutting-off power when a float valve pops-up? I would assume that a solenoid is to be connected to a controller that shuts-off power when a float switch sends it the appropriate signal.
On the subject of float switches, I had been looking to use them for my RO/DI setup. However, I thought that they would stop all flow. That is, stop the flow of clean water and also the discharge/waste water of the RO unit. But looking at float switches it looks like it only stops the “clean”...
I stopped by two months ago and he had downsized. He no longer has the second floor. The owner is a nice guy and keeps a small selection at good prices. I may stop by from time to time but my preferred shop is Neptune's even though it is twice the distance for me. I wouldn't make a long trip to...
neuro, I'm still in the game but if someone can take it off your hands before me, no biggie. I'm all the way down in South SJ so making a trip to your place is a hike. I'll keep and eye out and if I can connect a trip up there, I'll ping you.
I'll see what the meter reads this weekend for light but it was getting blasted just like the mother colony. Flow was moderate to high. Temp 77-78. Let's see how it does. Maybe it just got upset after the transport. I have another frag if it doesn't work out and we can take it directly to your tank.
On bristle worms, I got a good number of these around. It was causing me all sorts of grief. I'm staring to lose some of it. I don't see them doing any harm whatsoever. So, I'm starting to lean towards agreeing with the camp that says these guys are mostly beneficial. Only time will tell...
