    Wavemakers...

I saw the WP-10's but they don't have magnetic bases which really frustrates me. Still haven't seen any reaching the states yet (on CL, or Ebay). Fish-Street is the only ones with them thus far. While I do talk about upgrading to my 50g, I am basically only waiting on polishing the glass and...

    Wavemakers...

The sand issue is certainly a major concern of mine. Especially with the fine sand... I'm even re-thinking this now. As it is now, I have very few SPS (the easy ones, Birdsnest, Stylphora ) and those are in direct path of a 425gph nano. The 30g currently has crushed corals for a "sand bed" and...

    Wavemakers...

So after Rich's talk, I have come to the conclusion I really do need more flow. Although I am not sure exactly how I should go about it. Currently in my 30g cube, I have two Koralia's (one nano, one older big model) both pushing ~400gph. I have already bought a cheap 800gph pump that'll be here...

Removing scratches from glass tanks: My experiences.

Huh, I always thought glass was pretty easy to get them out. I will still give it a shot... I'd regret not giving it a try everytime I saw the scratch once it's set up.

Removing scratches from glass tanks: My experiences.

It's pretty minor. really, and they are right next to eachother. They probably aren't even noticeable when under water but I just want to get it done before I put water in it and regret it. The tank I have now has three big scratches that are the first thing I look at. I have a DA Polisher (I...

Removing scratches from glass tanks: My experiences.

Any suggestions on which products to use? On my new 50g I noticed two really light scratches on the inside... (and a bigger worse one on the outside that looks too deep to fix). Would really like to polish it out while the tank is still empty.

    BRS Order

Oo that's a bit out there for me (Milpitas). I think I'll try what Vincerama2 suggested!

    BRS Order

Mike, where are you located? I still need to make an order and it was about $40? If you are too far I'll just order myself pretty soon.

What kind of RO membrane are we supposed to use in the BA, with our cloramine water?

I have clear housings for my RO/DI unit, and when I first hooked it up the first stage became black within the first week. Made me sick to my stomach thinking about all the water I've drank at this location! Still glad I paid extra for the clear housings!

    Coral ID

+1 I had a very angry plate coral that I couldn't figure out what was going on. I got up in the middle of the night a few times, and eventually I found the hollywood stunner going to town on the plate. Moved the plate to my frag tank and it has recovered quickly. This incident gave me new...

    Phone or real camera?

I had the most success using a tripod, manual focus, manual mode, no-flash, and then adjusting the aperture to get the right colors (not sure if that's the correct terminology to use). My pics are all under Kessil's (150/350's).

    Phone or real camera?

Much nicer huh? Especially if you can just borrow it from time to time. I picked up a Nikon D3200 (seen in other thread) for the "family" but my ulterior motive was for the fish tank... :D

    Skimmer

That's actually what I have in my sump. It's the HOB, but it gets the job done. Have it in the middle part of the sump so water height changes don't affect it much. I think they are only rated for 75g though.

    Phone or real camera?

The real camera will get the best pictures from the tank. As @Vincerama2 said, being able to manually focus and everything will get you the best pictures. If you are just trying to sell something, buying a camera probably doesn't make sense unless you are doing it a lot or want it for other...
