Yes it's the different specific gravity's of both your salt water and your top off water. It's normal. But I don't know that I would dump a whole five gallons of water in at once.

I found my chalice on the sandbed the other morning, about 3" away from where it's supposed to be. At least it was right side up..so that proves my electric blue leg isn't 100% evil. ;)

The check valve will only work when the return pump shuts off, right? It looks like his return Loc-Line is pretty high up in the tank, so even in the event his check valve failed, only a limited amount of water would drain back into the sump. @Navdeep, make sure your Loc-Line outlet is high...

No..I got wide. That's why I have to keep it so close to the surface of the water. If I have my Kessil 3 feet above my tank it will light up my entire house.

Yeah like @aqua-nut I have fallback set to ON on critical systems, to at least let them work on their on in the event of Apex fart.

My Kessil is 4" off water surface on my rimless tank. Very minimal light spill.

I would assume the controller delio gives same functionality that other leading LED manufacturers have (AI, Radion, etc.) A lot of the folks that shy away from Kessil because they want a light that is controllable out of the box I guess.

You'll find out soon enough with a little more experience in the trade that pics are necessary, pretty much always. Man we love pics. It doesn't matter if were talking about Kalkwasser dosing or about how much poo our hermit craps are putting out. We need pics. Pretty much always. ;)
