Why did my SPS corals died?

First of all, thanks to everybody for your comments, it helps a lot! I'm more and more convinced that it had to be an ammonia spike due to fish decomposition because the only I could still take out of the tank was the yellow tang. The coral beauty and the anthias were almost totally...

Why did my SPS corals died?

I don't have a chiller and also don't have AC in house so during those 2 hot days, temperature in the house might have gone up considerably

Why did my SPS corals died?

So I came back from my summer holidays (18 days out) and my main worry was that my fish where going to die because they were used to frozen food, out of 12 fish, 4 of them died (the pickiest ones with food). I put 2 automatic feeders and one malfunctioned so it could have been even worse. But...

    Unhappy torch

It might be the water flow. I changed my torch to another place in my tank and the first days it was also not looking good until I increased the flow in that area. Not under a power head but enough for the tentacles to have some good movement.

[Apr 14, 2018] Members Frag Swap (Hayward, CA)

I wanted to let the organizers know that I might be a bit late because one of my son's soccer game finish at 11am in Sunnyvale and I'm their referee so I need to stay until the end. Taking into account that the first rounds will be for the ultras and bonus I think I should make it on time for...

    Aquarium Food during Summer Holidays

Thanks for your replies, I have googled "frozen auto feeder" and it seems to complicated to make it myself, so I'll follow your advice and a few weeks before my holidays I'll cut the frozen food and will try with all kinds of pellets and dry foods.

    Aquarium Food during Summer Holidays

I call upon the forum knowledge to check if someone has any ideas about this issue that is starting to worry me. Until recently I have always had freshwater tanks, I currently have a 55 gallon cichlids aquarium so in past summers when I go back to my country (Spain) for several weeks, I put the...

    Tiger Cowrie ate my GSPs

About 2 weeks ago I purchased a big and beautiful Tiger Cowrie and I thought it was reef safe. Until very recently he has been eating a lot of my tank algae but just from a couple of days ago, my 3 GSPs were close and then 2 of them just totally disappeared. Tonight I have catch the tiger...

Thanks anyway, will let you know if I need to go to SF (which is not very usual).

What are you planning to bring to the Frag Swap ?

I think I read somewhere that there was a table where people could leave "ineligible" corals for the frag swap (GSP, Xenia, Kenya Tree...) and that table was called the "free table". Some people are interested in those corals, for example I want GSP.
