How often do you measure Alkalinity?

When re-adjusting my Calcium Reactor (or autodoser previously) I would test once a day or every few days, and then weekly, and then bi-weekly, and then monthly. Once everything is stabilized, once a month.

    Drain or no drain

My used 120g came with one side corner overflow removed, so they used that hole for drain like you said, with about some angled fittings and strainer high enough to stay on top of the sand. Haven't had any issues with leaks, and my stand is high enough for 20g brute on casters to drain into...

    I hate my atk

Is there algae or coralline buildup? Can build a light blocker cover to shade the sensor to prevent the growth. That’s why I don’t do fuge and light in the sump anymore and do separate ATS or other form of export outside of sump.

    What size of ATO container?

That or they need to customize the fit for maximum capacity in their cabinet. I’m lucky also to have tons of space in the storage room behind the tank, so use a 44 gallon Brute.

    Unhappy torch

What’s that tube growth on the left side? I had issues with vermetid snails that bothered mine.

    Fritz salt

Well the red one has higher alkalinity 10-12dkh, which they state gives more growth for SPS. I wonder if the red solves the alk drop during storage issue. Actually, if it drops from 10-12dkh to 8-9 dkh and holds steady there, that would actually work out lol. I think there is a whole other...

    ID: Ball with Pink dots

Never mind, I think it’s bubble algae. I’ll pluck it out. I added a pair of berghia a month ago. They ate one aptasia where I placed them right away, but no sign of them multiplying yet... waiting patiently.

1100 Gallon Salt Water Aquarium System

My grandma’s house in So Cal has a custom 500 gallon built-in tank fish only with false coral rock formation tower probably about 15k - 20k. I tried to sell it cause maintenance fish guy costs too much every month. Tried to sell it for a few grand but custom and large tanks are too niche and no...

    Coral Dip

Used to use Revive, now use Bayer. For red bugs in the tank, I've had success with Dr. Tim's SPS and LPS dip directly in the tank if you don't have access to Interceptor (both are the same ingredient I believe).

I'd ask my friends to come and see, An Anemone garden with me...

Maybe try gutter guard tube to surround nem and rock until it settles. But yet I know you can't really force the settling space long term.
