I had the same thing happen to me. High Alk leading to a long slow death of most of my sps corals (only my montis survived). Also, I would double check your phosphates. most tests are incredibly inaccurate.

Its another flame anemone. Its a regular rose that is supposed to have super bright yellow tips. I bought it over the internet so I'm not really sure what I'm getting. I'll definitely post some pics though when it comes in. Patrick

The anemones are pure wild cards at the moment. normally they stay still once happily in a crevice but the ones I'm giving away are not doing so well right now and they may move around for awhile. Patrick

The spawning happened on Oct 1st. I just checked the autumnal equinox and it occurred on Sept. 23rd so I'm not sure if there is a connection. I've had the clam for about 3 years now and got it as a 2 inch little baby. My clam is all grows up now. I'm gonna have to have the awkward bees...

Did a 10 percent water change yesterday and about 1 hour later this happened: 6rwW74SMsBM At first I thought there was a problem with one of the pumps since I thought what I was seeing was hundreds of bubbles.

Havent tried that out yet. My guess is that they would move though.

Here are some pics of my friend's tank. He says that the 1 anemone I gave him has turned into 8 now. I love it that they're propagating so well. (There's a hammer coral in there that looks like an anemone, thereby adding to the whole wall to wall tentacles carpet look)

jellygeee, I think the reason your anemone is dying is because there is some chemical warfare going on between the anemones. Most people say you shouldn't have different types of anemones in a tank (bubble tips, long tentacle, etc) because the anemones will release nematocysts(spelling?) and...

Sorry for the confusion. The picture is not of my friend's tank but instead is the display tank for Dolphin Pet Village. I didnt have a good photo of their anemones so I found a picture of their tank instead.

I cut one of the anemones in half about 3 weeks ago. One of the anemones is doing clearly worse than the other 2 which is weird because its in the same lighting, flow, etc conditions as the other two. Anyways, I'm up to 3 now and I should be able to split them again in a couple of weeks...
