Reef Lobster - what to do with Larry

I've searched everywhere and read a lot of opinions and experiences about the purple reef lobster... Here's my dilemma. I have one in my 34g. Im pretty sure he ate my diamond goby a few months ago. And I'm fairly certain he ate a watchman goby I put in last year. He's lived with my yellow...

No, I will have to work on that. Large euro brace, but still a ton of room to jump for freedom

That looks great too! And yeah I was thinking that it'd be hard/impossible to do the doors like that because of the 2x4s. I have been thinking about magnets. I'm glad to hear that other people have used them successfully.

I could print up a couple of these. I want to try one as well. I could leave them with someone in the bay area or ship them to you.

So I attempted the fragstation this morning. It's over a 14 hour print so I wanted to do it when I could check on it every now and then. Good thing I did, it got an hour or so in and had a adhesion issue and the whole thing was trash. I'm going to clean my print bed and try again tonight.

Yeah that's my problem. I'm trying to do it in a cheaper manner. But a sheet of nice plywood is like $80. Probably need at least 2 sheets for my stand.

Looking for a nice black finish. Modern looking cabinet. I'm leaning towards 1/2" Sande plywood. Edge banding. Painting it black. Probably doors on the front and one end. I like this look Just not sure how to achieve it...

How does it flow? 1/2" Tee off 1" return line gated down with a ball valve. Then varios 2 returns the water to the sump. Flows are matched as best as possible making sure the water in the fuge is the one draining faster. Varios 2 float switch cuts off when sump gets too high. How much is the...

Looking for ideas - stand finishing options

Hello all, I'm wondering if anyone has built a construction grade lumber stand and then finished it to make it look like furniture. Some ideas I've come across for "skinning" it: -plywood -mdf -melamine -Acrylic sheeting Does anyone else have any ideas or suggestions? I'm really looking for...

Good shot of Cuzco the Emperor Angel. Clean up crew and a cleaner shrimp have arrived. Messed around with the pump and got the water in and out stable in the "fuge." I guess it's somewhat of a chaeto reactor of sorts. I still don't trust the system to run 24/7 so I shut the supply off while...

He said all the seams were redone. Silicone job looks a little sloppy. Anything in particular I should be on the lookout for?

Haha yeah. I saw the two of them together and they just reminded me of the old guys in the theater laughing and yelling at everyone.

Honestly not sure. I picked this up used from a guy named Chan in Sunnyvale. He said that he got it from a fish store that used to have a few of these as display tanks.

Plumbing the refugium. Everything worked as I expected, but getting the return flow to match the rate coming in is a lot harder than I thought it would be. Long term plan is to use a bulkhead and gravity to return water back to main sump. The flow and spin effect on the chaeto works and looks...
