    Simple 40

The aggression between the Flame Angel and the Six Line Wrasse peaked a few days ago, necessitating intervention. The Six Line Wrasse has been relocated to the refugium area of the sump. The Flame Angel has been nipping at the Acan corals, causing them to close up. To allow the corals to heal...

Torch Collectors - question on Holy Grail Torches

Thanks for taking the time writing this up! Edited: I like the way you added some prices also! Prices with corals seems to be all over the place these days, especially with Torches.

Torch Collectors - question on Holy Grail Torches

What are your thoughts on the below definition from extreme corals? I especially like the part where they described the tentacles! Holy Grail Torch corals are known for their vibrant colors and unique patterns, making them stand out in any reef aquarium. The striking fluorescence of these...

    65 gallon tank

That’s what I did. Figure more power the better considering these don’t have much power in the first place. I like these because they are submersible and less light penetrating other chambers. Your media substrate looks nice.

    65 gallon tank

The tunze fuge light that I am using (8850) only operates at 10% power if not under water. Something to consider if PAR becomes an issue.

    Simple 40

The CA-RX is new. I meant it was dusty and not previously used. Rinsed it with tap water then let it sit jn RODI for a few hours. Added it to the sump and will keep it there for a few weeks. In the next few days will pick up a bottle of bacteria. pods, and phyto. Lights will be off for the next...

    Simple 40

Adding about 15lbs of CA-RX media as substrate. So dirty! Should I add it all at once or over the span of a couple of weeks? Currently I have a bare bottom.

    Refugium Advice

Good idea - moving the heater to the first chamber. The CA-RX in the second chamber was meant to be a substrate/home for pods. I plan on either growing more macroalgae with corals reverse timing of the DT.

    Refugium Advice

A few modifications. Chamber 1 - frag disks, mechanical filter, protein skimmer, probes Chamber 2 - Ca-Rx media, Tunze 8850, macro-algae > possibly a small wave maker. Chamber 3 - return pump, dosing lines, heater How to add pods to the sump? Below is what I tried last time and failed. Turn...

Emergency- alk rising and ph dropping to dangerous level - complete tank crash

If you are close to the Milpitas area - I can mix up a 5-gallon bucket of saltwater for you and add bio media. This will buy you some time! Let me know.

Glass cleaners/scrapers for hard to scrape algae

I use the continuum blades for tougher algae and a flipper without the metal part for algae dust.
