LSM Lunar Simulator Module (White Lights?)

Or check how the led string goes into the LSM and then put any light with that plugh and wattage into the LSM

LSM Lunar Simulator Module (White Lights?)

Easiest way is to replace the leds in the LSM with white leds. Jamie did that for a few years, then stopped because the color of the light doean't seem to matter. It seemed a pretty straightforward replacement.

    Massive bubble algae bloom (solutions?)

Depends on the set you get and what you are doing them. I have a bucket full, so I often just root around for the one that seems to fit the need I pulled this set from amazon, and the close up shows two that are really good for scraping rock and removing lots of material like algae. I might...

    Massive bubble algae bloom (solutions?)

Biological controls are hit and miss, and you are likely going to want to scrape the algae off to get the hervirores to start eating the algae - they are like deer, they eat the shoots and leaves, not the branches (bigger one can eat the branches, but our tanks are generally too small for those...

Just scrape it of and let it collect in a fliter sock.

Pseudoscience and reefing: why so much bad information (semi rant)

Absolutely - strategy for algae management for a new tank is different from a mature tank due to benthic succession. In our tanks, not taking into account benthic succession is, IMO, what causes uglies and stress about algae. I was more referring to the idea that we need to show that algae and...

Pseudoscience and reefing: why so much bad information (semi rant)

Algae and dinos both survive on wild reefs where n < .2 and p < .02.
