The purple pencil wrasse came out to eat today. Pictures don’t do it justice, it’s such a beautiful fish. Few things are more rewarding in reefing than seeing a newly introduced fish go from a shivering, fearful mess in the corner to a part of the community.

Went to AC today and their wrasse selection is off the charts. They have two variants of pencil wrasses that are gorgeous! I brought home one of each. There’s a $350 lineatus that is absolutely stunning. Also, a handful of Moyer’s leopards that look great.

The corals talk to us…we just have to listen. The past 2 weeks, my pipe organ was not opening as it did before. I knew my salinity was high but I ignored it. I finally started lowering it slowly and after 5 days, when it got down to 1.026, lo and behold, the pipe organ started opening.

Sadly I lost mine - battling Monti-eating Nudis now
