We planned to sell our Berkeley house and move in 2020 but COVID derailed that. I have now changed jobs and we are probably staying in the bay area for a couple more years. If I had not taken down my tanks I would wish they were still running but I am not putting a tank back up having taken them...
I cleaned and packed up most of my tank items when I took it down in January 2020 but delayed selling due to COVID. Since this is dragging on forever I need to finally get around to selling the gear. If the prices of anything seem whacky, make me a fair offer.
92 gallon quarter round corner...
Well, I sure picked the wrong year to take down my tanks. I took down the last tank in January before going to Hawaii for a month and planned to sell off the equipment when I got back. So far, due to covid, I haven't done much but clean and box everything. The empty 92 Gallon tank still sits in...
I thought this fundraiser might have some interest for those in the club knowing how hard it can be to save for new gear!

I had something that was called sand polyps in my tank that I got from Albany Aquarium. I never had an official species or even genus. It looked very similar. I gave a few away to people who took corals from my tank. I would sometimes appear on rocks but it definitely preferred low flow areas of...
I used a plain eShopps float valve directly connected to my RODI tank successfully for 7 years. I liked it because it was unlikely to "fail on" and cause flooding or over-top-off. On one occasion the float nozzle got clogged with a tiny bit of grit but it was otherwise flawless. The RODI storage...

Teardown continues. I have removed the lights, return pump, skimmer and calcium reactor and put all the remaining rock in the sump. One of the surprises has been the large number of tiny Cerith snails I have discovered. I had no idea that they were reproducing in my tanks. I also had...

Mostly everything is gone now. I have a few pieces left for @Kensington Reefer
I have perhaps 25-40lb of pest-free (other than hair algae and valonia) live rock, most of it is heavy base rock. I also have a buckets worth of white oolithic sand.
One of the australomusa frags I gave away was...
The tank teardown is coming along nicely! @dswong01 came by early and helped frag some of the corals. I have not used a saw before and would have been lost when the blade came off. He was also a lot braver than I would have been with cutting between the polyps. His experience shows! @MolaMola...
Easiest will be to pick up tomorrow 9-4pm. Arnold mentioned that he might coordinate with you to have one person pick up both which would be fine. I will keep the tank up to next weekend unless everything is gone. @Sfork2 will be getting the live rock and sand as the last item, hopefully...
Yes, @dswong01 grabbed only a couple. for himself and another person.
Acans, blastos, lobo australomusa, leptastrea, psamacora, montis, mushrooms, and more.
With Dudley's generous help I was able to frag up the @yardartist green/blue blastomusa as well as the australomusa, lobophylia. I should be able to give blastomusa frags to 4-5 people and 3-4 australomusa (collection and export is currently banned on this coral so get it while you can)
