FREE to Supporting Members : Roostertech's Mohawk Zoas

Wanted to say thanks to Death By Snu Snu for the generous donation of 2 polyps of Mohawk Zoas, a frag of Red Monti Cap, a frag of Green Pocillopora, some tips of Ponape Birdsnest, and the chaeto. I also enjoyed meeting him for the first time and chatting about his tank can inhabitants. This...

That works. I'm in Menlo Park 2 days per week (and this Sunday) and come home across the Dumbarton to 880. I can hike north a bit to Hayward.

I live the wrong direction! Hope the smoke isn't too bad by you. It is really smokey all the way down here in S. San Jose. When death by snu snu jumps into this thread, I'll find out where he is and hopefully he is closer. Thanks Guys!

Thanks, where are the Mohawk and chaeto currently located? Our family is going out all day Saturday (and evening) with out of town guests, so I can't do that day or evening. I could drive somewhere on Sunday to pick them up. Thanks, Mike

Yes, that is quite a hike. Thanks so much for the kind offer, I'll see if I can find some a bit closer.

I'd be happy to take a few off your hands if there are any left. Happy to take some chaeto off your hands if you have any extra as well (I saw you were giving some away in another post last month). Thanks, Mike

    Brown spots on digitata?

There is nothing close to it, so no.

    Brown spots on digitata?

OK, I waited until the polyps went in for the night. I placed a very bright white light on it and it is definitely bare of polyps and fairly dark greenish. I picked at it with a tweezers and nothing really came off that I could see/recover, though it did get a bit whiter. So I picked some more...

Mike and Ashley's 150g reef tank (our first)

5 1/2 week update. Been exciting (including the latest brown spot on the digitata). Thought I would post some pictures of the progress/growth. Thanks everyone who graciously donated, provided advice, assistance, etc. Wouldn't be here without this group. First picture is when the first corals...

    Brown spots on digitata?

It has always been that color. In my tank journal thread I have grown to calling it the German "Not Blue" Digitata :) Tank parameters are all good and quite stable (the Apex DOS really helps there), except for consistently running 0.00 phosphate (even with no more chaeto, as that had a growth...

    Brown spots on digitata?

It looks very dead, dark brown, no polyps. I'll try and get a better picture.

    Brown spots on digitata?

Hi All, In the last 2 days this brown region appeared on the back of my German Blue Digitata? Any thoughts as to what is going on? There are no longer any polyps in this region. I hope it isn't something bad as the stalks on this coral have grown at least 1/2" in the last 6 weeks since I...

    RBTA transfer process?

Hi All, Thanks for the input. It has been interesting watching the discussion. The RBTA is in the tank and seems happy. It disappears under the rocks at night (you almost can't see it), but comes out when the lights start ramping up. As far as I can tell, the clowns haven't checked it out yet...

    RBTA transfer process?

Thanks! It is my pleasure to support this group. Can't wait to get something growing large enough that I can help the next person get started.

    RBTA transfer process?

I am new at this so I am just asking (and I am sure some have been stupid questions, so thanks for taking that in stride from a newbie). Getting things from reputable people in this group has been amazing. What a patient, helpful, and generous group you have all been. Thanks!

    RBTA transfer process?

Hi All, Newjack has kindly donated me an RBTA for my tank (which will hopefully host my clowns). Picking it up today and I was curious as to the best method for "prepping" it for my tank as to not introduce any possible pests. Lots of conflicting info out there on the web. Thanks, Mike

Where to get a tank cover?

    Lexan is polycarbonate.

Where to get a tank cover?

Thanks. I just ordered an artfully acrylic with multiple feed doors. My tank is eurobraced, so any additional add-ons will be slightly more complex than a rimless.
