    Vincent's 40g AIO

Don't listen to ET. He's just an acrylic hater! :D :D Yes, they do scratch easy. Be careful and you won't have issues. I have a 20y/o acrylic tank with no scratches. The down side is they scratch easily. The upside is they can be buffed out. Can't do that with glass. It's even possible to...

    Felicia's 40B Predator Reef

So nice it got posted thrice! You'll have a very full tank when they grow up. Damm you, now I'll have that song stuck in my brain ALL DAY. Ah wheem a whey, Ah wheem a whey, Ah wheem a whey (or what ever they sing) :D :D :D

Has anyone in the club been stung by a LF? If so, what's it like? Beautiful fish, Felicia. Quite good pics with the iPhone macro!

With a shameless derailment of the thread... How do you do that? Are you relating all those events with pH in either the CR or the effluent? And somewhat back on track... Kris, you don't have a controller! I'm like, o_O! They are so useful.

Good to see you posting again! I'm never sure how to interpret your 'my tanks not doing well' posts. Your tank at it's worst looks better than most! Sounds like you've got control over all the issues and I'm sure the tank will be back to spectacular in no time.

    Felicia's 40B Predator Reef

Good for you. I was worried about that wrasse! Years ago I had a Volitan LF. He managed to swallow a red Coris (Coris gaimard) that was larger than him. Unfortunately it killed both of them. Expensive meal! Your new additions are beautiful. Great pics too!

[May 9, 2015] Forum with a Reef Nutrition Expert - Culturing PODS

It was fun. Lots of great info and some lucky members walked away with great fish food prizes. For recording, that really has to be on a by presenter basis. Some presenters make money off these and are not that keen on us recording.

Carbon dosing, do you do it?

IIR I'll check the price on Kirkland today. Website says it's 'pure American made Vodka'. :) One could hope that's just ethanol and water. OK, I'm back. Kirkland, aka Costco, vodka is $14/1.75l. Of course you do have to buy a six pack! J/K! :D

What are your other guilty pleasures?

Wow you guys are really doing your part for the economic recovery! My guilty pleasures are boring and extremely cheap compared to the above. The only real expensive hobby I have is fish/corals. Even with that I'm squeaky cheap. Most of my corals are from swaps/meets. For me, cars are...

The Credibility of Thomas Brown of Thomas Vision Reef (youtuber)

Thomas seems like a nice guy. I don't know what his scientific background is. He is a self promoter, but that is to be expected in Tube land. :) Seems like he jumped the gun and made a 'orders of magnitude' error. Big time! ;) If he can gracefully correct the discussion, I'll keep watching...

Any experience with the "Impossible" Goniopora/Alveopora Corals?

I've had a red/pink goni for a few months. It seems happy since it's extended and growing. I don't target feed very often but when I feed frozen food I don't drain off the 'juice'. Perhaps that's what it's eating.

Texas State Aquarium kills all fish in tank with pest treatment

You stole my LINE! :) I'm surprised they didn't just shoot the worms. On a more serious note, it's a wonder they didn't try it out on a small sample. Hope no one made an 'off by an order of magnitude' dosing mistake.

Although I don't want to make fun of your pain, it's good to hear even the young among us find this tough! Every time I see some east coast dude with a sump in the BASEMENT, I get jealous!! I lust after a basement!! Being able to work on sump standing up would be heaven. Very sexy pink light...

    SPS STNing, any ideas?

Could it be a reaction to pests? Have you considered fragging off the healthy parts and getting rid of the STN parts?
