Kind of -- for AEFW, the trick would be to dip between 15 - 56 days. knock off aefw before they can lay a new round, with assumption that everything hatches prior to. I use the same guidelines from the AEFW study... but made the mistake of only dipping once inside that window. In hindsight...

At the risk of peddling snake oil... i use the imaginatarium parasite remedy for dealing with ich. Has been super effective as an in-tank treatment and for QT of new fish. It does go against conventional wisdom but it has yet to fail me. Admittedly, in rare cases, i have lost a few fish...

For dino... go with peroxide dosing and 3 - 4 days black out.

Just this past week, i found two incidences of rusting magnets that I did not expect. The first was a a cracked wetside magnet from my Smart ATO (one with 2 part lens). Just a hairline crack the showed signs of rust seepage. Easy to miss... Second one blew my mind. Random chance i stuck my...

If you did a planted tank, those bit of coralline etc would be great for buffering the system. But, end of the day... doesn't really matter much since small amounts. What i would have done is let the tank dry out.... which will literally powderize the coralline and algae, making easy to come...

Side note on seam failures... I've read that folks who use wave boxes also have high rate of seam failures. So it you have red sea and a wavebox, be extra careful.

@thesassyindian just started up a QT for my orange hammer that came down with either BJD or being stung by torches. If you happen to pass by Mt View, happy to toss your torch in and nurse if back for you... since i am arleady saving one, another is zero extra work.

Crap! maybe look into resealing the glass after you're done emptying it? I think 360Coralz can help do that... they've worked on a few other tanks I've seen in the past. Including their own.
