    Gimmito's 450 gal L-shaped tank

The culprit of the ich outbreak was a multicolor angel that was added to the main display a bit to early...a expensive and heartbreaking lesson. I might be getting rid of the coris and marbled wrasse so I can add more clowns, smaller wrasses, some dither fish, & maybe some bellus or wantanabes...

    Gimmito's 450 gal L-shaped tank

I have a large coris wrasse and marine beta that didn't come out for the video. Unfortunately I lost a few yellow tangs (except one), potters angel, clownfish, & my trio of Japanese swallow tails during the ich outbreak of '15. :(

    How big is too big!?!

I subscribe to the old saying "Go with the biggest tank you can afford and fit." I went from a 34 gallon red sea max to a 450 gallon. I also dose and do 100 gallon water changes once a month.

    Ray's LPS Reboot

Good to see back in the game Ray. You might want to see if Denzil is available to buff out your 120. He did a great job on a heavily scratched 250 I service. Also, with a 1" think acrylic why not consider a cold water set up?

On a more serious note. I would definitely: 1) switch to a smaller sump. 2) nuke existing rock. 3) buff out existing tank (hello Denzil!). 4) redo rockwork. 5) think about add a Carlson surge. 6) Ask Jim about the sea swirls and ocean swirl he has. ;)

Water changes work to a point, but is a good habit to get into. That being said, find what works for you when it comes to dealing with nitrates, phosphates, etc. Welcome to this addictive hobby!
