What software for making photo slide?

What kind of output format are you looking for? I used the Nero picture CD program and it came out pretty good. It was free with my CD burner.

Web dev people (or anyone else), need a script to enter and save water test data

OK, two things: 1. Access can be used on the web. 2. Why do you need web access? Are you going to be entering data about your tank remotely? Sounds like you're trying to kill a fly with a howitzer. I just built an Access DB in 15 minutes that can report and graph all of my tank data. I'm...

Web dev people (or anyone else), need a script to enter and save water test data

Why do you even want to use SQL? Access is EASILY powerful enough to handle that small amount of data. Heck, Excel would be good enough. There's no reason to run a SQL server for this.

    Solar Lighting

I also looked into this option when my wife and I were looking at a new house. From all I read it "could" be done but not without extra lighting. So, I figured they'd be the primary lighting in the summer and I'd have to get MH for the winter.

    Frag Plugs?

I do not make my own. I use the plastic disk I got from Gresham and put a piece of rubble on it. I never liked disks and I always have rubble for use in my sump.

    Refugium Project

Jeremy nailed it. Just get a used HOB filter, do a little modification and you're done.

    Calcium Reactors and Pressure

I don't buy it either. ;D If my calcium reactor is being fed by a maxi-400 then there is no way there is any pressure in that chamber. If there was then I'd have no control on where the water flowed. I mean, what would stop it from pushing back against the fill pump? I think you'll be fine...

    Refugium Project

This project can be handled in SOOOO many ways. For your size tank a 3-5 Gal fuge would be easily enough. With that in mind you could just use an extra salt bucket. Unless you really NEED it to be "square". You can plumb part of your return reed into the fuge and build in a simple PVC...

    Seminolecpa's 180G upgrade

Holy cornea burn batman! I like how the lighting turned out! Did you get everything from the temporary tank into the new tank? I see the clams, the rack and the fancy rock. Looks great Bryan!

    Seminolecpa's 180G upgrade

Glad to be part of the team. Sorry I couldn't stay for longer, but I hope the lighting test went well. BTW, I thought of something...could you mount one of your T5s to the front of the canopy? I know you were wrestling with the offset stand when I left. I thought you might be able to mount...

    Nuisance Polyps

If you are moving them to a new tank then "smother" them out or cut down their flow for a while. If you put the colony face down in the sand it will die slowly. Or, if you stop the flow over them they will build up algae and die. Just a thought if you weren't in a rush.

    DBTC Ricordia Available

Mine is not growing fast, but at least it is growing. My recent success with new ricordea/yumas is pathetic at best. My existing colonies are all doing great, but new ones are not. This one is at least growing, even if it is slowly.

    who is dosing supplements?

Hey Sam, I've used Essential Elements and Coral Vite before but only when I was lazy with my water changes. If you look at all of the TOTM tanks, few if any dose these additives as their contents are included in your salt. I don't believe an excess of the nutrients will improve your coral...

    Chaeto not growing

I also had the problem with growing cheato until I added a pump to make it vigorously tumble. I still have slow flow through the fuge but the ball rolls over every 3-4 seconds on average. Since I added the pump I've seen a big improvement in the growth of the ball. I think it has more to do...

    CPR Bak Pak question

Really? That surprises me. Do you have any mods on the skimmer that would make the bubbles extra fine? It should be near impossible unless there is some sort of pollutant in your tank. I mean, you never see foam in a clean mountain stream or lake. But, in certain places of the polluted...

    Lighting upgrade question

24" wide you will need 6 bulbs to get enough spread. But you don't "need" IC ballasts for a tank that is only 20" deep. If it were me I'd get these bulbs: F->B ATI Blue+ UVL 75/25 ATI Blue+ Fiji Purple ATI Blue+ Aqua Blue Special Now, I suggest these bulbs because you can always get a 10K...

    Lighting upgrade question

Hey Steve, The ovedrive capabilities of IC ballasts are more theoretical than actual so don't take them as gospel truth. I tested my ballast draw against a normal ballast and saw that it probably does overdrive the bulbs but not quite as much as it is rumored, especially when you get to the...

    Lighting upgrade question

I have a wife as well so I'm getting good at these "creative" calculations. ;) Don't forget to mention it will keep your house cooler in the summer. ;D

    CPR Bak Pak question

Gresham is correct, as usual. ;D Our skimmers will simply create bubbles in a FW tank.
