    Brightwell Aquatics Phosphate E

I would dilute and hand-dose until you get a feeling for this. And then consider auto-dosing. I do phosban from little fishies and have diluted this 1 to 5 I believe. Results come slow but they come within a week or less. Still, I am not a fan of LC and only use this as a last resort or ideally...

    Brightwell Aquatics Phosphate E

I think this topic has been explored in as much detail as possible already - see below. I would not assume phosphate E is less concentrated than other products unless you try and determine it is less effective with the recommended dose...

Electrical advice - lighting fixtures - needs professional help (potentially)

I am using the two Quanta Light Helix bars and two ATLAS with the Hydros Control X4 and its 0-10V connector. For months, there are on and off issues with the dimming through the 0-10V connector, which leads to any of the ATLAS or Helix bars turning on and off at random constantly thoughout the...

    My First ever icp

I can share more detailed feedback later or let me know if you have any concrete questions, but the recent improvement on their reporting shows you now what to focus on. This is under ‘overview of dosages’ and the priority allocated to this. I would look into priority 1 and 2 and determine if...

    ATO safety question

Yes, and both scenarios, it filled too much and not enough. I had it for 1.5 years or so. When it works, it’s good. I do no longer recommend this. I wish someone would come with a Aqualogic/Ranco type of ATO system (yes, I know I made fun of this in another post). Switched both tanks to the...

    Greetings

Welcome. You might want to look into a proper camera/phone lens filter in the future so that we can help you better when you progress further and encounter challenges. There might be some on our freebie table at the swaps but they are also rather inexpensive yet useful for the purpose of this...

    favorite ICP company

I am glad you did this. To me it looks like they measured two different tanks. I only compared a few that matter (to me), but CA (as you stated) and MG differ significantly, and dosing adjustments would be potentially large for these macro elements if you were to make them. Sr is also way off...

    Alex’s IM 150 EXT

Yes, there is something or someone she does not like in my tank. The trigger and borb anthias pair dominate the feeding, then the fox face and the white tail. Clowns always get leftovers and royal gramma and the new joiner / springeri damsel find ways to eat despite being bullied. No one...

Water change accident - saltwater on carpet

Interim update: I had this at hand and it was able to remove a decent amount of water.

Water change accident - saltwater on carpet

"We" had a little accident when performing a water change for the nano tank, and the small sump got too much water and soaked the carpet around it. Any best practice on what to do with the carpet to minimize the damage? Carpet is old so not a big problem but I would like to not need to replace...

    Alex’s IM 150 EXT

After more than a month in Kenny’s / @under_water_ninja care, I picked up the Yellow Tang. Thanks so much again for doing this, Kenny! It will be on me now to maintain his healthy levels and after a few days, it is not clear if I will be successful, as eating in my tank continues to be a...

So this (big) guy has only shown itself recently. I assume I should get it out ASAP?

Hawaii (Insider) Travel Recommendations (for Reefers)

Easier to get to for sure. Not sure if this is the best place to go with a family though?

Hawaii (Insider) Travel Recommendations (for Reefers)

Yes, this is what prevented us from going so far. Unfotunately, being limited to school holidays, there are not many options avoiding the crowds. When we lived in Singapore, we spent each Christmas at various tropical islands and my sons would like to do this again (note: we are not fans of snow).

Hawaii (Insider) Travel Recommendations (for Reefers)

7-10 days, not less than 6 days if possible. This is a good question. Staying on one island (or if 10 days, changing to max one other) would probably be our preference (keeping it simple). We would not mind hiking.

Hawaii (Insider) Travel Recommendations (for Reefers)

(Inspired by another post earlier) We moved to the Bay Area in 2022 (again) and have never been to Hawaii. Since we have (hopefully) some celebrations this year, we would like to make it work around 'Christmas' time (on or after December 20), for a family of 4. The last few years were a...

Should Michael run a closed loop on his 210 gallon?

The majority calls for a closed loop. Main arguments are that it is already set up for this, and you have Eric. Maybe it needs a proper pro and con list :). But just pushing to get the tank set up is not a strong argument, as these things are meant to last.
