Depends on the route you want to go. Either feed more food that has a better nitrate to phosphate ratio, add more fish if there's space to eat the extra food or dose Sodium Nitrate (NaNO3) or potassium nitrate (KNO3).
Me personally, I'd dose a little Sodium Nitrate.
Are you seeing good growth on your coral or have macro algae growing? If so, they could be taking in more nitrate than before due to new growth if your feeding habits haven't changed.
150 Gallon Tank
Ugly stage has begun. Oh the brown goodness. Time to let it ride and get some CUC.
I think I'm the only person who does this, but I set up my fuge as soon as tank is being fed and there's any livestock in the tank. I use this led grow light panel in all of my systems for...
While you should be careful, i believe you really only have to worry about ingesting them. They don't have a mechanism to deliver their toxin that they get from bacteria.
Frag Tanks
Getting pinker by the day. Thought this mariculture piece was going to go red/maroon, but looks like pink is the winner.

Pests? You have a digital microscope to get a really good look?
Plus, there's always the possibility of the bad bacteria that no one can really tell you if it's there, but it is. ;)
It was probably all the DBTC robot posts. We should not display the DBTC on the "front page" latest posts. Same thing we do for buy/sell/trade forum.
Been requesting this for a long while now....
Just got a second unit today for the backup heater. And interestingly enough, they both read the same temp. Usually doesn't happen and two units are off by a little bit. But to answer your original question, it looks like it only heats it when it goes off by a whole degree. It's at 77.1 and it...
I don't understand why you're fretting about 0.7 PSU or what your end game is trying to be so precise. But at any rate, that's within the device's error range, so it's functioning as normal. If you want something more accurate, the Milwaukee MA887 is not your answer.
From Milwaukee MA887 manual.
Torch Tank
I've never "formally introduced" these tanks, but I have two IM30 tanks that share a sump that house all my torches. It's around 60-70 gallons of total water volume. And being that I was just using what was on hand (read: hoarding), I set this up to replenish the calcium carbonate in...
I don't actually have a controller on the tank, not sure I'm even going to add one, so I don't really have a history of what the temp ranges are currently. But every time I look, tank has always been between 77-78 degrees.
I have usually used the Ranco thermostat, to control heat, but there is...
I use Ranco for controller on/off of heaters and in some of my systems there is also apex as a third fail safe in addition to the heater itself.
Given that I have plenty of redundancy and fail-safe built-in, I have used these hitop heaters for years, probably 10+ units in all. Only one has...
