sounds like a way to go - I might even go DIY route - get my existing UV bulb with quartz sleeve, put into PVC pipe housing and connect to sicce pump.

That's look like an option - but 400GPH in the sump will be a hurricane imho. Also will have to make/get some inline UV that brings a question - how big/powerful inline do I need?

    Another UV thread

Hello, Since there where couple separate UV-related discussions recently I would like to ask for recommendation(s) for my small tank. I have 43gal system with quite a limited space in the sump and around and trying to squeeze a UV in that already tight space. I used Aquatop 13W submersible...

Whats your phosphates and nitrates levels? Suck that sand out and enjoy clean tank - once you add sand back it will return.

    Salinity

The RedSea refractometers are known to not hold calibration - it's much better glass than others but I wouldn't trust it if calibrated more than 5 min ago. Maybe it's some bad batches but I have a bad one and there was a long thread on RC about this issue when RedSea had dedicated forum. My...

February Tank Spot Light is Eugene

Background I always enjoyed water and nature - sea, lakes, rivers. Being a fisherman, a diver and just loving water I always appreciated it's beauty but never had a thought of having fish tank before I step at Aqua Forest Aquarium in SF. That was love from the first sight - aquascaping! I tried...

Can anyone help me build a manifold Red Sea 170?

How many outlets do you need? This maze will significantly reduce flow but looks cool. I put barbed t-insert from aquarium hose into silicon between pump and outlet using silicon hose - easy and reduces pump noise. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
