What brand of reef salt to buy

Tropic Marin Pro Reef. Dissolves and clarifies near instantly. I've used it as close as an hour after circulating in a bucket with a heater and power head and everything seems happy. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Dosing - Dosers - Stability

Yes, most dosers let you control which days to run the program and let you set from 1-24 times and amounts. I use a Jebao 4-Channel, which is an obvious cheap knockoff of the Bubble Magus. It has a tiny 2 x 12 character LCD display and Up/Down/Left/Right/Enter buttons, so programming is pretty...

    Dosing - Dosers - Stability

Yes. 1 mL is the smallest dose I can meter at one time. Since 24 mL of full strength additives per day would be too much, I have to dilute it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Dosing - Dosers - Stability

I had alkalinity stability issues, especially alkalinity dropping overnight, until I started using a doser and dosing alkalinity hourly. Since I have a light load of corals, I cut the balanced additives 50/50 with RO/DI to fit in 24 doses. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Reef dynamics skimmer body

I have a Sedra for an ASM G3, brand new still in the box. I bought it for an ASM G3 body I bought without a pump, but my girlfriend knocked it off the storage rack and it shattered on the garage floor. If it's the right size, you can have it cheap.

I’ve seen that tank, it’s all the GSP I’ll ever need. [emoji13] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Cleaning used tank

Be very careful with blades, it’s super easy to scratch up the glass if grit gets between the glass and the blade. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Do you by any chance have a water softener in your home? If present, that would very quickly overwhelm your RO/DI unit and leach phosphates into your water. Maybe do a phosphate test on your RO/DI water?

    Chromis’s 90g Acropora tank

I feel much the same way about Mexican Turbo Snails, I've had them actually pop glued corals off the rocks.

The black spotted box puffer caught my eye. I might pick him up tomorrow if he's still there and alive.

Might be worth dosing a little Prime, perhaps you have a little chlorine or chloramine contamination from cleaning something? That would totally explain the invertebrate death and corals being irritated. Also, how are you checking your salinity? A good refractometer is the best way. If your...

Nope, no name visible anywhere. I only knew I was in the right place because there was an empty tank in the lobby. :)

I went over around 11:00 and checked them out. It's obvious they are just barely getting started. I got on their email list. Very close by, almost walkable.

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/for/d/grand-opening-in-san-jose/6653235951.html I wouldn’t buy anything today, looks like a good few of their shipment isn’t going to make it. They do have a bunch of interesting fishes though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
